Affiliate program terms

This is a courtesy translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Italian version of this document prevails.

1. Subject matter

These terms govern participation in the GoHostDirect affiliate program (the “Program”): a registered user (the “Affiliate”) promotes GoHostDirect with a personal link and receives a commission on the paid subscriptions taken out by the new customers they referred (the “Customers”).

The Program is offered by GoHostDirect, the sole proprietorship of Andrea Lai (VAT no. IT02850490927), Via Ippolito Rosellini 10, 50127 Florence, Italy. The Affiliate takes part on their own account and does not become an employee, agent or representative of GoHostDirect. The Terms of Service also apply.

2. Requirements and approval

To take part you need a GoHostDirect account, free Starter plan included, and an application sent from the Affiliates area of the dashboard. The application is reviewed by hand by the GoHostDirect team, which normally replies within 2 working days.

GoHostDirect may accept or reject an application at its discretion and may ask for details of the planned promotion. By sending the application, the Affiliate declares that they have read and accept these terms (version 2026-10).

Before the first payout the Affiliate must provide a correct IBAN and tax details (private individual, sole proprietorship or company).

3. Links, tracking and attribution

  • After approval the Affiliate receives a link containing their own code (?ref=CODE).
  • The browser of the person who clicks remembers the code for 90 days.
  • If the person clicks several affiliate links, the last link clicked counts.
  • Attribution is fixed at the moment the new customer creates the account and never changes afterwards.
  • Only new accounts can be attributed: an existing account cannot be attributed to any Affiliate.
  • If the browser does not keep the code (storage blocked or cleared, another device or browser), the sign-up may not be attributed: GoHostDirect does not guarantee that every referral is recognised.

4. Commissions and tiers

The commission is a percentage of the amount actually collected for the Customer's Pro or Business subscription, excluding VAT and net of any discounts. The free Starter plan, 14-day free trials, booking commissions and any amount not collected do not earn commission: it starts from the first payment.

TierActive paying customersCommission
Starter1–420%
Partner5–1425%
Expert15 or more30%

Applicable tier

The tier depends on the number of the Affiliate's active paying Customers on the date of each invoice and applies to that invoice. It is not retroactive: a change of tier does not alter commissions already accrued.

5. Commission period

For the Starter and Partner tiers the commission is due for 12 months from the Customer's first paid invoice. For the Expert tier it is due for as long as the Customer keeps paying.

If the Customer cancels the subscription, moves to the free plan or stops paying, no new commissions accrue.

6. Holding period, refunds and reversals

Each commission is held for 30 days after the payment is collected (refund window) and only then becomes payable.

In the event of a full or partial refund, or of a payment dispute (chargeback), the corresponding commission is reversed proportionally. If it had already been paid, the reversed amount is offset against later payouts.

GoHostDirect may cancel commissions relating to payments obtained through fraud, abuse or breach of these terms.

7. Payouts and minimum threshold

Payouts are monthly, by SEPA bank transfer to the IBAN given by the Affiliate, for the commissions that have become payable. The minimum amount is €50: below the threshold the amount is added to the following month. Amounts are in euros.

GoHostDirect is not liable for delays or errors caused by an incorrect IBAN or tax details, or by the Affiliate's bank.

8. The Affiliate's tax obligations

The Affiliate is responsible for their own tax and social security obligations on the commissions received and issues an invoice or receipt according to their own status (private individual, sole proprietorship or company; Italy, EU or non-EU). GoHostDirect may ask for the document before paying and may apply any withholding required by law.

These terms do not constitute tax advice.

9. Prohibited conduct

The following is prohibited and may lead to cancellation of commissions and suspension of the account:

  • self-referral: registering, or having others register, accounts of your own, of relatives, of related companies, or created only to earn commissions;
  • spam: sending unsolicited communications or communications that breach email, messaging and privacy rules;
  • misuse of the brand: using the GoHostDirect name and logo beyond what is needed to describe the Program, or in a way that suggests a relationship other than that of Affiliate;
  • misleading promises: promising earnings, results, discounts or features that GoHostDirect does not offer;
  • brand bidding: buying “GoHostDirect” or its variants as advertising keywords;
  • advertising that pretends to be GoHostDirect: ads, sites, profiles or emails presenting themselves as GoHostDirect or as its official channel.

10. Suspension and withdrawal

GoHostDirect may suspend or close the affiliate account in the event of a breach of these terms, a well-founded suspicion of abuse or the closure of the Program, and may cancel unpaid commissions linked to the breach.

The Affiliate may withdraw at any time by writing to info@gohostdirect.com. After withdrawal or closure no new commissions accrue; those already accrued and not cancelled remain due, subject to the holding period and threshold rules, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

11. Data protection

The data controller for Customer and visitor data is GoHostDirect (sole proprietorship of Andrea Lai, Florence). The Affiliate does not receive Customers' personal data: in the dashboard they only see aggregated or anonymised data on clicks, sign-ups, paying customers, commissions and payouts, and must not try to identify Customers.

When a person arrives from an affiliate link, their browser keeps the Affiliate's code and any utm parameters for 90 days (key ghd_ref, no personal data), and the click is recorded without storing the IP address in clear (only a hash), in order to attribute the sign-up and calculate the commission.

The Affiliate's personal data (identification, IBAN, tax details) is processed by GoHostDirect to run the Program, payouts and legal obligations.

More information in the privacy policy.

12. Changes to the terms

GoHostDirect may change these terms, the percentages and the tiers, giving notice by email or in the dashboard with reasonable advance notice. Changes apply to invoices issued after the effective date and do not affect commissions already accrued. If the Affiliate disagrees they may withdraw; continuing to take part after that date counts as acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. The Court of Florence has jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to the mandatory rights granted to consumers by law.
